Wenjie Duan


I am an associate professor in Department of Sociology, Wuhan University, who obtained Ph.D. in Applied Social Sciences at City University of Hong Kong. I am engaging in research and practice of character strengths, positive education, big data-based behavioral science and mental health, intervention program development and evaluation, and social policy. I specialize in applying indigenous modification of basic theories and principles in Western countries into daily lives of individuals and organizations. Then derived the indigenous theory with Chinese cultural characteristics, which are more suitable to thinking and behavior paradigms of Chinese. Through individual- or community-based intervention program, the mental, well-being, and positive development are achieved.
