Gastrointestinal cancer is a leading cause of cancer death worldwide, especially in some regions of Asia. Major advances in cancer therapeutics have led to a remarkable reduction in gastrointestinal cancer mortality. However, these improvements come with the limitation of a range of side effects, that affect most patients with varying severity, and that clinicians and researchers need to treat and investigate. With the emergence of new therapeutics, such as immunotherapy, improving our understanding of therapy-related side effects is a vital and meaningful goal.

For this Special Issue, we particularly encourage the submission of manuscripts dealing with any aspect of side effect analyses for gastrointestinal cancer, including, but not limited to, acute and chronic side effects, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy et al. We welcome manuscripts in the form of original research or literature reviews.
