Summary

Professor of Computer Engineering and Director of the Information Systems and Technology Center in the German Jordanian University. He is the founder and team lead of the software development group at the center. He lead and participated in the analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of the following ERP systems: student information system, E-Banking services, accounting system, financial system, HR and payroll system, help desk system, and online exams system. He directed the IT efforts to transition the instruction at GJU to fully online during the corona virus period. He managed the following IT projects at the center: the university intranet, IP cameras and surveillance system, data center design, video conferencing system, information display system, and GJU website. Previously, he worked for Cadence Design Systems, Chelmsford, USA, from 1995 to 2012. He was a Senior Member of Consulting Staff as well as a technical lead for the circuit simulation and signal integrity analysis technologies in the Allegro PCB-SI R&D Group. Where he developed methods to model and simulate s-parameter black boxes, multi-conductor transmission lines, and IBIS devices. He also architected the bus analysis flow that is used to design and verify source synchronous memory interfaces such as DDR3. Dr. Al-Hawari has seven U.S. patents and several publications. He is also an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technologies (TCPMT).
