Mahdi Jemmali
Summary
He earned his engineering degree from the National School of Computer Science, Tunisia, in 2003, followed by an M.S. degree in Mathematical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Tunisia in 2005. In 2011, he completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Tunis. Dr. Mahdi Jemmali is currently an Associate Professor at the College of Computing and Informatics, University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Prior to this, he served for nine years as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Majmaah University, Saudi Arabia, and for four years at the University of Monastir, Tunisia. In addition to his academic roles, he worked for six years as an engineer and head of service at the Ministry of Industry and an international oil company in Tunisia, applying his expertise in computer science to industrial applications. Throughout his career, Mahdi Jemmali has been actively involved in numerous research and industry-funded projects. He has contributed to the academic community as a Chair, Reviewer, and Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for several leading international conferences and journals. Recently, he was recognized among the top 2% of scientists worldwide. His research interests include algorithms, scheduling problems, big data, smart cities, operations management, and artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on applying advanced scheduling techniques to address complex real-world challenges across diverse domains.
