Raman Kumar
Summary
Dr. Raman Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, Punjab, India. He has completed his B. Tech. (Mechanical Engineering), M. Tech. (Production Engineering) and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. He has five years of industry and seventeen of teaching and research experience.
His areas of interest are sustainable manufacturing, energy-efficient machining, optimization of processes, machine learning, and multi-criteria decision-making. He has taught at UG and PG levels, including Strength of Materials, Machining Sciences, Manufacturing Processes, Operation Research and Industrial Automation and Robotics etc.
He has more than eighty research publications in national and international conferences and journals of repute. He was enlisted in the Stanford World list of the top 2% of Scientists of 2022 published by Elsevier. In addition, he acts as an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Psychology, Frontiers in Public Health, Frontiers in Climate, and Frontiers in Rehabilitation Sciences. He serves as a reviewer of the Journal of Cleaner Production, Sustainable Cities and Society (Elsevier), International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing-Green Technology (Springer), Part B: Journal of Engineering Manufacture, Sustainability, Applied Sciences, Energies, Materials (MDPI), IEEE Sensor Journal, Frontiers, etc.
Life Member of ISTE and SAE India and received ISTE Best Teacher Award-2021 (Section) and a recipient of Best Paper Award at International Conference. He participated in various faculty development programs, conferences, and expert lectures.
