Dr. Tamez-Guerra is professor of the Faculty of Biological Sciences (FCB) of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL). She teaches microbiology and microbial ecology. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Microbiology at the National Center for Agriculture Utilization Research, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA-ARS) and worked as project research leader for AgraQuest, Inc. Davis, CA. her main research line is the formulation of bioactive agents for biocontrol of insect and phytopathogenic microorganisms.
