Summary

Dr. Jaime Jacqueline Jayapalan had obtained her PhD in Cancer Proteomics from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya in 2015. She actively pursues her research interest in the application of proteomics technologies in cancer and/or disease biomarker discovery. Dr. Jayapalan is a member of Malaysian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Golden Key International Honor Society. She served as a reviewer of several international journals including Electrophoresis, Cancer Studies, Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Journal of Proteome Research as well as Editorial Board Member for SM Journal of Bioinformatics and Proteomics and Open Journal of Proteomics and Genomics journals. Dr. Jayapalan’s active participation and commitment in research is highly reflected by having more than twenty Web of Science-indexed publications (H-index: 11 and citations of more than 300, as per Google scholar) and had obtained several research grants in the capacity of a principal investigator as well as a co-researcher. She has presented a number of papers at national and international conferences and earned a number of awards both in recognition of her outstanding professional and research contributions to the University and society.
