Summary
After obtaining a business high school diploma and working in this sector for a couple of years I realized that that was not my niche. Therefore, I studied again and I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in analysis and management of natural resources at the Università degli Studi dell’Insubria (Italy). My thesis work was about the biology and auto-ecology of Rutilus rutilus and possible interaction with Perca fluviatilis in Varese lake (Italy).
Afterward, I worked at the Alpine Biology Center, in various RAS fish farms (salmon, sturgeon, trout, arctic charr, perch, pikeperch and grayling) and as a research assistant in behavioral ecology at University of Bern (Switzerland).
Willing to learn and develop new skills I moved to northern Norway to study. There, I earned a master’s degree in Biology (freshwater ecology) from the University of Tromsø (Norway). My thesis work was about seasonal and ontogenetic variations in intestinal parasite infections in Arctic charr (Salvelinus alpinus) and brown trout (Salmo trutta) in a subarctic lake.
I'm temporarily working as fieldwork and labwork assistant at the University of Tromsø and at the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA).
