UiT The Arctic University of Norway has a strong belief in open access to disseminate its research, in order to reach out to as large an audience as possible. We engage in open access in a number of ways, one of which is to have a publication fund to enable all our researchers to publish open access.

UiT The Arctic University of Norway will pay for APCs on a case by case basis to allow our authors, be they employees or students of the university, to publish with PeerJ. We see the PeerJ model as innovative and we would like it to succeed, as one of many alternatives to the traditional publishing models.

In order to qualify for this support, authors must ensure that they, in the paper in question, use UiT The Arctic University of Tromsø as their address (or one of their addresses, if multiple).

Please submit a request for preapproval of your funding request BEFORE you submit your article for review.  For information and the application form, go to https://en.uit.no/publishing#innhold_681362.

After acceptance and with your pre-approval, PeerJ will work with UiT to complete the funding process.
