Summary

I received my Master's and PhD degrees from Department de Bioquímica, Universidade de São Paulo, where I worked on the genome sequencing projects of the phytopathogenic bacteria Xylella fastidiosa and Xanthomonas species, as well as on transcriptomic projects of the filamentous fungus Trichoderma reesei. Recently I was involved with the Red Sea Microbiome project at The American University in Cairo, studying the microbial community of the water column and brine pools by means of Metagenomics.
