Summary

Maria Romeiras studied Biology at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon [FCUL], completed her MSc Degree at the Institute of Agronomy [ISA/UL] and obtained her PhD degree in 2005 on Biology, at the University of Lisbon. Presently she is Assistant Professor in the Instituto Superior de Agronomia / University of Lisbon [since Feb. 2017]. Maria is member of two Research Centres [i.e. Linking Landscape, Environment, Agriculture and Food (LEAF/ISA) and Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (cE3c/FCUL)], a position that allows her to create synergies within the UL, for developing new innovative methodologies and collaborative approaches to the study of Tropical Plant Biodiversity, her main research area. Over the last years, Maria has published several scientific papers and has participated in research projects, some focused on the study of Tropical flora.
