Summary

Dr. Christian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Memorial University. She has long-standing research interests in understanding how proliferation of normal and cancer cells is regulated. Her past training includes regulation of B lymphocyte signalling pathways and neuronal signalling pathways. More recently, she has focused on how the interactions between cancer and normal cells can influence the fate of both of these cells. A linked interest is on the role of extracellular vesicles in regulating cell-cell communication and thus cell fate.
