Summary
ANGÉLICA ARENAS RODRÍGUEZ is a Colombian biologist, she received her Bachelor and Master of Biological Sciences from the Universidad del Tolima, Colombia. Her research was about phylogenetic relationships with flies (Cluster Drosophila martensis). Then she worked with ecophysiology and ecotoxicology; she was evaluating the effects of pH of acidic and basic substances, Glyphosate and Cosmoflux in embryos and tadpoles of Anura. Currently, she is ending her Ph.D. at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia with grant of COLCIENCIAS and ICETEX, Colombian government institutions. Her research primarily focuses on skeleton morphology of nine frog Colombian species (Hylidae, Leptodactylidae and Bufonidae family. She is analyzing ontogenetic data from ossification sequences in phylogeny. Angélica has had laboratory experience at Universidad del Tolima, Universidad de los Andes and Universidad Javeriana in Colombia; California Academy of Sciences and San Francisco State University in USA. She is interested in the systematics, ecology and natural history of amphibians in Colombia.
