Summary

Sissades Tongsima is currently the director National Biobank of Thailand (NBT) which is the national infrastructure for long-term biodiversity conservation. He is also a principal researcher from the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). He received his B.Eng in Industrial Instrumentation Engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMIT’L) and his master and PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, USA. His research interests include bioinformatics and computation modeling. Dr. Tongsima has published his computational biology research in many renowned journals; some of them were highlighted in the Asia-Pacific International Molecular Biology Network (AIMB-N). He has served as an executive committee of Asia Pacific Bioinformatics Network (APBioNet), and a steering member of several international consortia. He is also an associate editor of the Journal of Human Genetics (JHG), Nature Publishing Group.
