Summary

I am an advanced PhD candidate studying the ecology of coral reefs and other coastal ecosystems at Duke University. My research is grounded in conservation biology, and focuses on understanding the combined effects of predation pressure with human-related stressors such as nutrient enrichment or climate change. Other research avenues of mine include determining how positive species interactions can be harnessed to improve ecological restoration efforts, and identifying trophic interactions or cascades that result in increased coral predation or disease. In addition to research, I'm actively involved in science communication and advocacy, specifically bridging the gap between scientists and local communities.
