Summary
Completed PhD regarding larval dispersal of Murray cod (Maccullochella peeli) in an upland river system (the Murrumbidgee River in the ACT). In particular looking at the the temporal and spatial variation in dispersal using genomics and otolith microchemistry as methods to understand pre-natal origin of the larvae. Incidentally, and perhaps more effectively, identifying hybridisation between reintroduced endangered Trout Cod and Murray Cod, and identifying, possibly for the first time in freshwater fish, multi-year pair-bonding as one of the mating strategies used by Murray Cod.
