Júlio is currently a PhD student working with Dr Max Langer at the Universidade de São Paulo in Brazil. He has completed his Master’s degree at the Universidade de São Paulo, working on fossil eggs from the Upper Cretaceous of the Bauru Group, Brazil.

Júlio’s PhD research is focused on the early radiation, evolution and biogeography of dinosaurs, and is co-supervised by Dr Richard Butler and Dr Jonathas Bittencourt.
