Summary

Presently, I am working as a Senior Research Scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA. My research interest includes “epigenetics and transcriptional regulation”. My research work is focused on exploring microenvironment of high-grade tumors arise in the overall course of the disease and in relation to treatment.

During 2021-22, I worked as Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University, New York, US. My work was to explore differences between regulatory networks involved in cancer and normal tissues using bioinformatics and computational biology. Earlier, I was working as Post-Doc at TAGC, INSERM, Aix Marseille University, Marseille, France during 2018-21. My research work was focused on the Identification of Epromoters, promoters showing enhancer activity, like clusters in various stress conditions. We have developed a pipeline to identify Epromoter like clusters. During 2016-18, I worked as Research Associate at CSIR-Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology, New Delhi, India. My work was focused on the identification and validation of genetic and epigenetic biomarkers for high altitude phenotypes using bioinformatics approaches. I pursued my Ph.D. work at the Department of Biochemistry, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India, and earned my Ph.D. degree from NIU, India in 2016.

In my tenure, I have published around FIFTY Articles. In addition to this, I was awarded an Independent Research Project from the Indian Council of Medical Research, India. I was also an Invited Researcher (two times) at the Department of Medical Chemistry, Medical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria. I was also awarded various travel grants from Indian and overseas funding agencies to present my research work.

Currently, I am working as Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York, US. My work includes analysis of regulatory networks in cancer and normal tissues. In addition to this, I am involved in developing workflows for the network analysis use Control Version System (CVS) to maintain. During 2018-21, I was working as Post-Doc at TAGC, INSERM, Aix Marseille University, Marseille, France. My research work was focussed on Identification of Epromoters, promoters showing enhancer activity, like clusters in various stress conditions. I was involved in developing workflows for data analysis using Python, R and Snakemake. All the workflows are maintained using Version Control System GitHub. Earlier (2016-18), I worked as Research Associate at Genomics & Molecular Medicine, CSIR-Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology, Delhi, India. My work was analysis of NGS datasets including Comparative Genomics, Variant Calling, Methylation Analysis, etc. and Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Biomolecules (Protein, DNA). Also, I am involved in developing various pipelines, writing Research Articles and Grants. I pursued my Ph.D work at Department of Biochemistry, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India and earned my Ph.D. degree from Noida International University, India in 2016. My research was focused on the identification and correlation of non-B DNA structure forming sequences with human diseases which also includes Microarray Analysis; and also to explore ligands which can destabilize such structures. During the PhD we have also developed a Genome Analysis Software “nTrackAnnotator (Singh & Rajeswari, 2017; http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2452014417300055). Other than the PhD work, I was also worked on the different projects for the Bioinformatics Analysis which mostly involved Drug-DNA Interactions using Molecular Dynamics Simulations. In the tenure, I have published several Peer Reviewed Articles in reputed International Journals. In addition to this, I was awarded an Independent Research Project from Indian Council of Medical Research, India. I was also Invited Researcher (two times) at Department of Medical Chemistry, Medical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria. I was also awarded various travel grants from Indian and overseas funding agencies to present my research work. I am editorial board member/reviewer of several Journals and Scientific Societies.
