To become a successful professional in biomedical research, microbiology, and bioinformatics, while contributing as a critical player in an innovative and competitive environment. Seeking a scientist position in a high-intensity research facility to utilize ten years of experience and strong knowledge of microbiome and cervical cancer etiology. Proficient in R, Python, QIIME2, and multi-omics integration analyses. Bringing strong technical writing and verbal communication skills in both, Spanish and English, and I can relate to a wide range of people, as proven by my work experiences as a science workshop assistant, laboratory instructor, professor, and quality control analyst in biopharmaceutical industry. I completed a PhD focused on the role of that cervical microbiome and HPV infections have on cervical cancer progression in Hispanic women living in Puerto Rico. Long term, I long to use my science-related knowledge and people skills to encourage and help young scientists to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) related fields.
