Dr. Naraporn Somboonna graduated with a Ph.D. from the Jointed Graduate Program in Bioengineering, University of California, Berkeley, and University of California, San Francisco. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She is also involved in the Omics Sciences and Bioinformatics Center, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Ph.D. Program, and the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Medical Microbiology, Chulalongkorn University. Her research interests are the molecular genetics of C. trachomatis, and microbial diversity associated with human and environmental health.
