Alejandro Esli Hernández-Mora was born in Córdoba, Veracruz, Mexico in 1993. He obtained his degree in Biological Pharmaceutical Chemist at the Universidad Veracruzana (Mexico) in 2017. At the Colegio de Postgraduados - Campus Córdoba (Mexico) he obtained his Master of Science in Innovation Agroalimentaria in 2022 and is currently studying for a Doctorate in Science at the Postgraduate College.

Currently his line of research refers to the seed Oecopetalum mexicanum (cachichín) with a point of origin in Misantla, Veracruz. He has been one of the pioneers in the biochemical and anatomical study of this fruit.
