Summary
Dr. Chen received her Master of Science degree in Zoology from Fujian Normal University in 2004. She received her PhD degree in zoology from Fujian Normal University in 2016. Since 2004, she has been teaching at the College of Life Science, Fujian Normal University.

Dr. Chen is a member of Professor Fu xinmiao's team. Their research is focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying antibiotic resistance, persister formation and stress response in bacterial pathogens.The research group has used genomic library screen, random mutagenesis, molecular biology, protein purification, genome sequencing, RNA-seq and so on to study these mechanisms . Chen is working on developing new antimicrobial peptides and looking for antibiotic "synergism and detoxification" strategies to combat antibiotic resistances.
