Summary

I am a microbiologist with basic training in Prokaryotic taxonomy and 16S rDNA based culture independent work. I am currently working as Assistant Professor of Microbiology in the University of Burdwan where my primary duties are teaching PG students and carry out research. I am carrying out research on biodegradation of organophosphate insecticides by bacteria. I am also addressing some intermediate compounds of OP hydrolysis as well nitroaromatic compounds such as 4-Nitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrophenol, 4-aminophenol etc.
