Summary

Dr. Dinesh Gupta received his PhD in Biophysics from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India.
Dr. Gupta joined ICGEB in 1998 to develop its Computational biology programme. He also received generous funding from World Health Organization to establish a regional research and training centre for Asian scientists conducting research in tropical diseases.
Dr. Gupta also received a prestigious WHO capacity building award to conduct research at University of Pennsylvania and Wellcome Trust Sanger Centre, which helped him contribute towards development of plasmoDB project, the Plasmodium genomics resource available at www.plasmodb.org. He is serving on the editorial boards and active reviewer for several computational biology journals.
