Summary

Dr. Bruno Andrade is PhD in Biotechnology from the State University of Feira de Santana (2011). He has experience in Bioinformatics and Computational Chemistry, with emphasis on structural biology and computed aided drug and bioactive compounds design. He has expertise in the use of traditional methods, as well as artificial intelligence (AI), for protein and peptide modeling, and drug discovery, developing studies with virtual ligand screening using comparative methods (Ligand Based Virtual Screening), molecular docking and molecular dynamics. He is currently full professor at the Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia (UESB), in the Medical School, and coordinator of the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Computational Chemistry (LBQC). He is a professor and advisor in the Graduate Programs in Biotechnology (PPGBIOTEC-UEFS / Fiocruz-Ba), Genetics and Molecular Biology (PPGGBM-UESC), Chemistry (PPGQUI-UESB), and Biotechnology (PPGBIOTEC-UFT). He is Reviewer of the international journals: Journal of Molecular Graphics and Modeling (ISSN: 1093-3263), BMC Chemistry (ISSN: 2661-801X) and PeerJ (ISSN: 2167-8359).
