Richard Ladle is ERA Research Chair in Tropical Biodiversity and Ecosystems Research at CIBIO in Portugal. His research interests include human-nature interactions, conservation biogeography and the use of new technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of wildlife conservation. His geographic focus of interest is the tropics in general and Portuguese-speaking African countries in particular.
