Summary

Dr. Tiwari’s lab mainly focuses on pathogenesis, drug resistance, therapeutics development for ESKAPE pathogens (A. baumannii, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus & K. pneumoniae) causes hospital-acquired infections. His current research interest includes-

i) Host-pathogen interaction in ESKAPE Pathogen
ii) Quorum signalling and PTMs in Biofilm, Dormancy & Dispersal of ESKAPE Pathogens
iii) Drug discovery and Vaccine design against A. baumannii, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, K. pneumoniae
iv) Molecular Pathogenesis & Antibiotics Resistance of ESKAPE pathogens
v) Nanomedicine and herbal medicine against ESKAPE Pathogens
vi)Molecular insights of evolution & competition among ESKAPE pathogens
vii) Peptidomimetics, antimicrobial peptides, Anti-allergen & Anti-venom molecules
viii) Bacterial Proteomics

In brief, Dr. Vishvanath using multi-disciplinary approach to understand multidrug resistance in ESKAPE pathogens and working for the development of suitable therapeutics for these ESKAPE pathogens. He is also an editorial board member and reviewer of various national and international journals like JACS, Scientific reports, J Proteome Bioinf, JPR, Open Biol, BMC-Micro, PloS One, Front Microb., etc.
