Sujinan Meelai is a lecturer at Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Silpakorn University - Sanam Chandra Palace Campus, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. Her research interests include biogeography and biodiversity of microorganisms, taxonomy and systematics of microorganisms, description of new microbial species, and biotechnological applications of microorganisms.

Sujinan received her Ph.D. from Chiang Mai University, where she studied as a Royal Thai Government Scholar and then held a research fellowship at JCM, RIKEN BioResource Center, Tsukuba, Japan and at International Institute of Rare Sugar Research and Education, Kagawa University, Takamatsu, Japan.
