No Mow May
Before I’d tell the neighbors that my shaggy yard was to ensure deep root growth. Now I can explain my laziness as conservation of pollinators. https://t.co/cbdVQJdX3X via @thePeerJ
Looking through the reviews, which are public (https://t.co/Ldg3uOTPnD) one of the reviewers did ask that the authors list the keys they used. Nice job reviewer! It’s disappointing that the identification resources that ended up being listed are nonsensical.
Actually, looking in the original submission, it specifies "A dozen specimens that were difficult to identify in the field were collected and stored in 70% ETOH, and taken to the laboratory for subsequent identification. "

Reading the new paper on “No Mow May lawns” and it’s an interesting study but what on earth are these bee identification methods??????????????
