Tim Karr received his PhD in Chemistry (1981; UC Santa Barbara) followed by postdocs at UC San Francisco with Alberts and Kornberg (1981-1986; Jane Coffin Child and American Cancer Society Fellowships). Assistant Prof, U of Illinois, Urbana, and The U of Chicago (1987-2002). In 2002 moved to U of Bath as a Reader in Biology and a Wolfson-Royal Society Merit Awardee. In 2008 moved to the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University to continue work on sperm biology and the evolution of sex.
