Summary
Sara Montagna is a contract researcher and lecturer at the Alma Mater Studiorum, the University of Bologna. She is working in between biology and computer science (BIO-ICT convergence): on the one hand she studies the adoption of innovative techniques devised in the computer science field, such as ABM, for modelling biological systems in Computational Biology and in mobile Health applications; on the other hand she proposes the adoption of the biological metaphor for engineering computational systems -- self-organisation applied to pervasive systems in particular.
