Summary
Background in comparative physiology and biophysics, specializing in demanding metabolic measurement challenges in a wide variety of organisms. Have designed and produced the hardware, firmware and software for numerous research instruments and systems, including gas analyzers, flow generators and data acquisition systems. A recovering academic, I still have an active research presence and have authored >90 peer reviewed papers having metabolic measurement as the central methodology, and have also written the definitive textbook of metabolic measurement, “Measuring Metabolic Rates: A Manual for Scientists”, published by Oxford University Press.
