Summary

Our recent work involves the study of the hip joint of monkeys as a function of physical activity and extreme, non-traumatic leg movement. We work with the Smithsonian and Maderas foundation in Central America, and with UC Davis in California to examine range of motion differences between wild and captive primates, and to explore a possible association between wide-range movement and hip-joint longevity.
