Chris specializes in stress physiology and molecular mechanisms of adaptation. He has been involved in research pertaining to vertebrate freeze-tolerance, mammalian hibernation, and aquatic intoxication by engineered nanomaterials (ENMs). He has also participated in the development of probiotic therapeutics and antimicrobial medical devices. His experience includes assay of metabolic enzymes, signaling enzymes (i.e. kinases and phosphatases), immunoblotting, protein purification, and much more.
