My name is Chongyang Zhang. I am a senior PhD candidate at University of Rochester (Aab Cardiovascular Research Institute, Department of Pharmacology and Physiology). I got my BS/MS degree at SUNY Buffalo. My research field is vascular smooth muscle cell phenotype change in vascular diseases.
I have published original research papers as first author in peer-reviewed journals such as PNAS, Journal of Pineal Research, Clinical Science and Journal of Cellular Immunology. I have enriched background and experience in cardiovascular biology. I have been awarded AHA predoctoral fellowship that studies smooth muscle cell phenotype in atherosclerosis.
