Summary

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Noor Amal Azmai has graduated from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu in 2007, with the degree of Bachelor of Agrotechnology (Aquaculture), from the Faculty of Agrotechnology and Food Science. He then obtained his PhD (Epidemiology) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2012. During his PhD study, he worked on epidemiology of streptococcosis in red hybrid tilapia. He also did Post-Doctorate research at the same faculty in 2012, which focused on the molecular characterization of Streptococcus isolated from cage-cultured red hybrid tilapia in Malaysia. He started his academic journey as a Senior Lecturer in Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia in June 2012, and promoted to Assoc. Prof. in November 2018. He has great interest in aquaculture, fish diseases, fish ecology and fish conservation.
