Summary

My research has focused around the cerebrovasculature and the role of calcium activated potassium channels in regulating vascular tone and the EDH (endothelium-dependent hyperpolarization) response. I currently also have interest in neuro-vascular coupling and the mechanisms underlying the effect of nutrition (e.g n-3 PUFAs) on vascular function. My Key techniques include electrophysiology (sharp electrode and patch clamp) as well as myography (isometric and isobaric).
