Pays APC

The University of Manchester is committed to ensuring as wide an audience as possible can read the outputs of its research and scholarship, and supports the principles of Open Access and the efforts of its researchers to disseminate their research findings as widely as possible.

The University of Manchester has arranged a prepayment account with PeerJ to meet the payments associated with Open Access publication.

Am I eligible?

Manchester authors may request payment of an Article Processing Charge (APC) by contacting the University Library’s Open Access team – uml.openaccess@manchester.ac.uk.

When you have submitted your article and it has passed PeerJ's checks, Manchester affiliated authors should return to this page to submit a claim for a Membership or an APC and complete the email verification.

All funded papers must include an acknowledgement of the grant that supported the research.

*If you are taking the membership route, all authors of an accepted article must have a paid membership: https://peerj.com/pricing/#apc-membership-pricing.
