Ghufran Ahmad

Ghufran Ahmad's research focuses on microeconomic theory specifically dealing with resource allocation, social choice, and matching problems. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at NUST Business School, Pakistan.

He received his B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan in 2012. After that, he joined Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, USA to pursue his Ph.D. in Economics, completing it in 2017 under the supervision of Dr. Guoqiang Tian and Dr. Vikram Manjunath.

Bilal Alatas

Prof. Alatas received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Firat University. He works as a Professor of Software Engineering at Firat University and he is the head of same department. He is the founder head of the Computer Engineering Department of Munzur University and Software Engineering Department of Firat University. His research interests include artificial intelligence, data mining, social network analysis, metaheuristic optimization, and machine learning. Dr. Alatas has published over 250 papers in many well-known international journals and proceedings of the refereed conference since 2001. He has been editor of twelve journals five of which are indexed in SCI and reviewer of seventy SCI-indexed journals.

Javier Bajo

Dr. Javier Bajo, full professor at the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science School at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), helds (since 03/05/2019) the position of Director of the UPM-Accenture AI.nnovation Space Innovation Center in Artificial Intelligence. Before he was Director of the Department of Artificial Intelligence (20/05/2016-19/10/2017) at UPM, Secretary of the PhD in Artificial Intelligence at UPM (23/06/2016-19/10/2017) and Coordinator of the Research Master in Artificial Intelligence at UPM (18/02/2013 - 20/05/2016). He also hold the position of Director of the Data Center at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (13-10/2010 - 08-11-2012), with 21 employees.

Javier has been visiting professor at the Dartmouth College (USA, 2016, Salvador de Madariaga Grant), Osaka Institute of Technology (Japan, 2011, JSPS Invitation Fellowship Program for Research in Japan) and IRIT-University of Toulouse (France, 2013, 2014, 2015).

He is member of the Ontology Engineering Group at UPM. His main lines of research are Social Computing, Intelligent Agents and Multiagent Systems, Ambient Intelligence, Machine Learnging. He has supervised 13 Ph.D thesis, participated in more than 50 research projects (in most of them as principal investigator) and published more than 300 articles in recognized journals (81 JCR papers) and conferences. His h-index is 39. He is founder of the PAAMS series of conferences, and is an IEEE, ACM and ISIF member.

Mario Luca Bernardi

I received the Laurea degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, in 2003 and the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from the University of Sannio in 2007.

Since 2003 I have worked as a researcher in the field of software engineering writing more than 90 papers published in journals and conference proceedings. My main research interests include software maintenance and testing, software reuse, software reverse engineering, and re-engineering, with a particular interest in software modularization.
I also served both as a member of the program and organizing committees of several international conferences, and as a reviewer of papers submitted to some of the main journals and magazines in the field of data and process mining, software engineering, software maintenance, program comprehension, and the application of computational intelligence approaches in the above fields.
Currently, I am an Senior Researcher at University of Sannio, holding the course of "Pervasive Computing".

Mauro Birattari

A Research Director of the Belgian Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique—FNRS at IRIDIA, Université libre de Bruxelles.

Dr. Birattari co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications in the field of computational intelligence. His research interests focus on swarm intelligence, collective robotics, machine learning, and on the application of artificial intelligence techniques to the automatic design of algorithms.

Diego Calvanese

Professor at the KRDB Research Centre for Knowledge and Data. Research interests include knowledge representation and reasoning, ontology languages, description logics, conceptual data modeling, data integration, graph data management, data-aware process verification, and service modeling and synthesis. In 2012-2013 visiting researcher at the Technical University of Vienna as Pauli Fellow of the "Wolfgang Pauli Institute". Program chair of PODS 2015 and KR 2020, and general chair of ESSLLI 2016. ACM Fellow, EurAI Fellow.

Jinde Cao

Jinde Cao (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S. degree from Anhui Normal University, Wuhu, China, the M.S. degree from Yunnan University, Kunming, China, and the Ph.D. degree from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, all in mathematics/applied mathematics, in 1986, 1989, and 1998, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Automation and Computer-Aided Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, from 2001 to 2002.

Professor Cao an Endowed Chair Professor, the Dean of the School of Mathematics and the Director of the Research Center for Complex Systems and Network Sciences at Southeast University (SEU). He is also the Director of the National Center for Applied Mathematics at SEU-Jiangsu of China and the Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Networked Collective Intelligence of China. Prof. Cao was a recipient of the National Innovation Award of China, Obada Prize and the Highly Cited Researcher Award in Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics by Clarivate Analytics. He is elected as a member of Russian Academy of Sciences, a member of the Academy of Europe, a member of Russian Academy of Engineering, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, a member of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, a fellow of African Academy of Sciences, and a fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences.

Giorgio Delzanno

Prof. Giorgio Delzanno graduated in Computer Science in 1992. He defended his PhD thesis in Computer Science in 1998 (Doctorate program in the Genoa, Udine and Pisa consortium) and was Post-Doc at the Max Planck Institut in Saarbruecken until the end of 1999. He got a position In 2005 Associate Professor at the University of Genoa. He is Full Professor at the University of Genoa since 2018.
Prof. Delzanno is currently the Coordinator of the PhD in Computer and Systems Engineering at the University of Genoa. Since 2012 he has been a member of the Orientation Commission of the Computer Science Degree Program and deputy coordinator of the Master's Degree in Computer Science.
The research activity was mainly carried out in the following areas: AI and Computational Logic: Logic Programming, Constraints, Multiagent Systems; Formal Methods: Model Checking, Abstract Interpretation, Parameterized Verification; Concurrent and Distributed Systems, Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing, Internet of Things; Computer Science Education: Computational Thinking and Coding.
He has participated in numerous program and organized committees
conferences, workshops and doctoral schools. Recently he was co-chair of the APCSE 2020 workshops of UMAP 2020 and HCVS of ETAPS 2020.
He is co-founder of Druidlab, a joint laboratory with the FOS Group of Genoa, and a member of GRIN, of the INSTM, of the CINI laboratory on Smart Cities and of the Indam GNCS group.

Louise A Dennis

Louise Dennis is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester.

Her background is in artificial intelligence and more specifically in agent and autonomous systems and automated reasoning. She has worked on the development of several automated reasoning and theorem proving tools, most notably the Agent JPF model checker for BDI agent languages; the lambda-clam proof planning system (also archived at the Theorem Prover Museum); and the PROSPER Toolkit for integrating an interactive theorem prover (HOL) with automated reasoning tools (such as SAT solvers) and Case/CAD tools. More recently she has investigated rational agent programming languages and architectures for autonomous systems, with a particular emphasis on verifiable systems and ethical reasoning.

José Manuel Galán

José M. Galán is a Professor at the Department of Management Engineering. He received a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Valladolid and a Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering from the Universidad de Burgos. His research has focused on computational modelling and simulation, especially on agent-based modelling. He initially combined analytical approaches together with simulation and, more recently, with network theory and statistical and machine learning. Former president of the Complex Sociotechnical Systems Association. Member of the European Social Simulation Association and the INSISOC research group.

Feng Gu

Feng Gu is currently an associate professor of computer science at College of Staten Island, The City University of New York, and the doctoral faculty member of Graduate Center of The City University of New York. He is the recipient of Natural Science Foundation Research Initiation Award. His research interests include modeling and simulation, complex systems, high performance computing, and bioinformatics.

Ernst Moritz Hahn

I am assistant professor at the University of Twente in the group FMT working in probabilistic model checking. Previously Lecturer at Queen's University Belfast, Marie-Curie fellow at University of Liverpool, associate professor at Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, PostDoc at University of Oxford, PhD at Saarland University.
