Peter J. Barnes

Professor of Thoracic Medicine at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Head of Respiratory Medicine at Imperial College & Honorary Consultant Physician at Royal Brompton Hospital, London. Has been the most highly cited clinical scientist in Europe & the most highly cited respiratory researcher in the world over the last 20 years. Elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2007. Currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the WHO/NIH global guidelines on asthma (GINA) and COPD (GOLD).
Barnes is the author of over 1,000 publications in peer reviewed journals. He has edited or co-edited over 50 books on asthma, COPD and respiratory pharmacology.
He has been received honorary degrees from the Universities of Ferrara (Italy), Athens (Greece), Tampere (Finland), Leuven (Belgium) and Maastricht (Netherlands). He co-founded an Imperial spin-out company RespiVert, which was acquired by Johnson & Johnson and has developed novel inhaled treatments for COPD and severe asthma.

Eric B Bauman

Dr. Eric B. Bauman is an award-winning educational designer and author, and proven researcher who promotes the integration of innovative educational technology for clinical teaching and learning within the health sciences. He is best known for his analysis and synthesis of contemporary pedagogy that supports the integration of innovative technology such simulation, VR/AR/XR, game-based teaching and learning across the health sciences. Dr. Bauman's portfolio has been widely published and disseminated through peer reviewed journals, textbooks and conference proceedings. He has presented and/or facilitated well over 100 venues, including the White House and National Academies of Science.

Li Li

Dr. Li Li (David) is a general physician in Guangzhou First People’s Hospital and is actively involved in the educational affairs on both the departmental and hospital level. Dr. Li received his MD degree from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He later went to Hong Kong and received his MPhil and PhD degree from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He is the first one to have been certified by SSH as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) in Mainland China. In 2020, Dr. Li was the first one in China to be invited to become a member of the 4th cohort of SSH Academy Fellow (FSSH).

Dr. Li is one of the most active SP educators in Central and Southern part of China and has provided opportunities for different educational programs to engage SPs as part of their educational system. He works closely with organizations such as the National Medical Examination Center (NMEC) to promote the engagement of simulation approaches and SPs into the National Medical Licensure Examinations in China.

Dr. Li also serves as the Secretary-General of Committee for Healthcare Simulation, Wu Jieping Medical Foundation, the leading Non-Profit Organization in the medical community in China.

Ashham Mansur

Ashham Mansur is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology. He is a Senior Consultant Anesthesiologist and has received his training at the University Medical Center Goettingen, Germany. His research focuses on sepsis and sepsis-related organ failure. He is also working with internationally recognized experts on integrative projects in order to facilitate precision medicine approaches in treatment of critically ill patients.

Zoran Obradovic

Zoran Obradovic is L.H. Carnell Professor of Data Analytics at Temple University, Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences with a secondary appointment in Statistics, and is the Director of the Center for Data Analytics and Biomedical Informatics. He is an Academician at the Academia Europaea (link is external) (the Academy of Europe) and a Foreign Academician at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (link is external). He is the executive editor at the journal on Statistical Analysis and Data Mining, which is the official publication of the American Statistical Association and is an editorial board member at eleven journals. He was the chair at the SIAM Activity Group on Data Mining and Analytics for 2014 and 2015 years, was co-chair for 2013 and 2014 SIAM International Conference on Data Mining and was the program or track chair at many data mining and biomedical informatics conferences. His work is published in more than 300 articles and is cited more than 15,000 times (H-index 48).

Bob Patton

Dr Bob Patton is a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at University of Surrey. He has run a research consultancy since 1993. During the 90s he worked as a consultant for the Home Office Drugs Prevention Initiative and research associate in health promotion for the University of Northumbria. Based in London since 1997, he has held a variety of research positions at Kings College London, Royal Holloway, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Imperial College, Surrey University and the Maudsley Hospital. He has also served as the Vice-Chair (Research) for the BPS Division for Teachers and Researchers and been a member of the BPS Research Board.

Yonghong Peng

Dr. Peng is a Professor of Data Science at the University of Sunderland. He is a Principal Investigator in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology and Medicine, and Principal Data Scientist working on Big Data Integration, Data Mining and Computational Intelligence. Dr. Peng's Data Science and BioMedical informatics (DS & BMI) research group focuses on development of innovative data analytics approaches to enable systematical analysis of biological data, medical images, and healthcare data and to gain new knowledge and insights from the integrative analytics of diverse data sources.

Chih-Chung Shiao

Dr. Chih-Chung Shiao is an associate professor and a nephrologist.
He currently is the deputy superintendent of medical research and education department, chairman of the academic research committee, and attending physician of the Nephrology Division in Camillian Saint Mary’s Hospital Luodong, Taiwan.

Dr. Chih-Chung Shiao has published a total of more than 70 papers in SCI journals. His research interests cover acute kidney injury, autonomic cardiac function, critical care nephrology, heart failure, survival, chronic kidney disease, and uremia.
