Bilal Alatas

Prof. Alatas received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Firat University. He works as a Professor of Software Engineering at Firat University and he is the head of same department. He is the founder head of the Computer Engineering Department of Munzur University and Software Engineering Department of Firat University. His research interests include artificial intelligence, data mining, social network analysis, metaheuristic optimization, and machine learning. Dr. Alatas has published over 250 papers in many well-known international journals and proceedings of the refereed conference since 2001. He has been editor of twelve journals five of which are indexed in SCI and reviewer of seventy SCI-indexed journals.

Muhammad Asif

Dr Muhammad Asif is currently working as Director, Graduate Studies and Reserach and Tenured Associate Professor of Computer Science. He also served as Chairman of the Department of Computer Science at National Textile University, Faisalabad, till November 04, 2020. Before this, he was a research scholar in the Computer Science and Information Management Department at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He received his MS and Ph.D. from AIT in 2009 and 2012 on HEC foreign Scholarship. Over the time, he was a visiting researcher at the National Institute of Information Tokyo, Japan, where he worked on the design and development of a data collection system for infectious diseases through modern technologies. He has also worked on a very important project of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) related to Pakistan's Air Traffic Control System. He was mainly involved in the architectural design of the systems as a software engineer. Asif is actively involved in teaching research and administration activities at the national textile University Faisalabad. He has Two PhD students who graduated in his credit and fifty-five plus MS and BS level students. He has won funded projects of more than Three Hundred (300) million from National and International funding agencies. He enjoys more than 200 impact factors from his research publications in top-class computer science journals and allied domains. He is also serving as Associate Editor of many top journals of computer science, namely, IEEE Access (IF 3.37), PlosOne (IF 3.752), Peerj Computer Science (IF 2.41), CMC (IF 3.77) and Frontiers in Communications and Networks. He is a reviewer of several reputed journals and authored a number of research papers in reputed journals and conferences. He is also a permanent member of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) as an advisor and program evaluator at the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) Islamabad.

Andrea Esuli

Andrea Esuli is a senior researcher of the Italian National Research Council. His research interests are in the fields of multimedia information retrieval, machine learning, and text classification. He holds a PhD in Information Engineering from the University of Pisa. He is the recipient of the 2010 Cor Baayen Award, from the European Research Council for Informatics and Mathematics.

Chiara Ghidini

Chiara Ghidini is a senior Research Scientist at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), Trento, Italy, where she heads the Process & Data Intelligence (PDI) research unit. She obtained her PhD in Computer Science Engineering in a joint programme between the Università “La Sapienza” of Rome and the University of Trento.

Her scientific work in the areas of Semantic Web, Knowledge Engineering and Representation, Multi-Agent Systems and Process Mining is internationally well known and recognised, and she has made significant scientific contributions in the areas of: formal semantics for contextual reasoning and multi-context logics; formal frameworks for the specification of deliberative resource bounded agents; ontology mappings and integration; collaborative modeling platforms, and predictive business process monitoring.

Dr. Ghidini has actively been involved in the organisation of several workshops and conferences on multiagent systems, Contexts-based representations, Knowledge Engineering, and Semantic Web, and has served as programme committee member for most of the top international conferences in these areas.

She has been involved in a number of international research projects, among which the FP7 Organic.Lingua and SO-PC-Pro European projects, a well as industrial projects in collaboration with companies in the Trentino area.

Ana G Maguitman

Ana Gabriela Maguitman is a Researcher at the National Council for Science and Technology (CONICET) of Argentina and an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina). She obtained her PhD in Computer Science at Indiana University (USA). Dr. Maguitman leads the Knowledge Management and Information Retrieval Research Group at Universidad Nacional del Sur (http://ir.cs.uns.edu.ar/).

Ari Melo Mariano

Ari Melo Mariano is a Data Scientist, Post-Doctorate in Data Science, Post-Doctorate in Scientific Methodology and Quantitative Methods, Doctor in Administration, Master in Administration, and Bachelor in Administration. A specialist in data science, he also has an MBA in European consumer law. He is currently a professor and researcher in production engineering at the University of Brasilia (UNB), Brazil. Professor of the Professional Master of Applied Computing in the Department of Computer Science and Collaborating Professor of 6 doctorate programs in Latin America.
Ari is the Director of DataLab at the Production Engineering Course at the University of Brasilia. As a researcher, he works in data science, behavioral big data, bibliometrics, analysis via structural equation models, and text mining. The most related areas of his research are the acceptance and use of technology, consumer behavior, active methodologies, learning styles, Industry 4.0 and 5.0, smart and shared cities, and interculturality.

Alejandro Moreo

Alejandro Moreo received a PhD in Computer Sciences and Information Technologies from the University of Granada in 2013. He is a tenured researcher at Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologie dell’Informazione "A. Faedo", which is part of the National Research Council (CNR). His research interests include learning to quantify, deep learning, and representation learning.

Krishna Dev Oruganty

I can best describe myself as a simulation biologist. I am interested in simulating life processes at multiple scales. From the atomic scale to understand protein function to cellular or systems scale to understand physiological processes. My main tool is the computer which I use to analyze, understand and predict biology. Secondary tools are in vitro biochemistry and biophysics experiments that I use to validate my predictions.

Rommel T J Ramos

The Rommel Ramos Professor of Bioinformatics of Federal University of Para (Brazil) affiliated member of Brazilian Science Academy and CNPq Researcher (level 1-D). Since 2008 works with genome assembly and RNA-Seq analysis, he is the leader of the bioinformatic development group of the Biologic Engineering Laboratory in Park of Science and Technology (Pará/Brazil).

Syed Hassan Shah

Syed Hassan Shah is a Wi-Fi connectivity subject matter expert with the Qualcomm Inc. product management team, where he is involved in Consumer and Compute Wireless products with a focus on Mi-Fi, CPE, and UWB technologies. In addition to that, Dr. Shah is also an adjunct faculty member at California State University, Fullerton Campus, where he teaches computer science courses to graduate classes. Over the past decade, Dr. Shah held multiple industrial & academic roles such as a Product Specialist for Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), CBRS, Private LTE, Digital Electricity, and open RAN product lines. Dr. Shah was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Georgia Southern University, USA followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, USA. Before moving to the United States, he completed his BS with honors in CS from Kohat University of Science & Technology (KUST), Pakistan, and his Ph.D. Degree (combined with Masters) from the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), Kyungpook National University (KNU), Republic of Korea (South Korea). During the summer of 2015, he was invited as a distinguished visiting researcher at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, USA to investigate MAC layer findings in IEEE 1609.4 protocol stacks. Overall, Dr. Shah has authored/co-authored over 250 peer-reviewed international publications including Journal articles, Conference Proceedings, Book Chapters, and 05 books. In 2016, his work on robust content retrieval in future vehicular networks won the Qualcomm Innovation Award at KNU, South Korea. Dr. Shah's research interests include Wireless and Ad hoc Networks, Cyber-Physical Systems, Smart Cities, Connected Vehicles, and Future Internet architectures.

Furthermore, Dr. Shah is a Senior IEEE and ACM member, served as a TPC Member or Reviewer in over 100 International Conferences and Workshops including IEEE Globecom, IEEE ICC, IEEE CCNC, IEEE ICNC, IEEE VTC, IEEE INFOCOM, ACM CoNEXT, ACM MobiHoc, ACM SAC, and many more. Furthermore, he has been reviewing papers for over 50 different International Journals including IEEE Magazines on Wireless Communications, Networks, Communications, IEEE Communications Letters, IEEE Sensors Letters, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, and Vehicular Technologies, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Big Data, and Mobile Computing. Moreover, Dr. Shah has been an editorial member of more than 60 Special Issues with top-ranked journals in Communication Society and served as an editorial board member of KSII Transactions on Internet & Information Systems, Wiley's Internet Technology Letters, Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, IEEE Newsletters on Internet Initiative, Future Directions, and Software Defined Networks. Dr. Shah has been an appointee of the Board of Governors of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society as liaison to IEEE Young Professionals society for the year 2018-2019. Since 2018, he is also an ACM Distinguished Speaker.

Kaize Shi

Kaize Shi received his PhDs in computer science and technology from the Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China in 2022; in computer systems from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), NSW, Australia in 2023. Now he is a Research Fellow at UTS.

His research interests include opinion mining in social media, emergency management, meteorological knowledge service, and artificial intelligence.

He serves as an editor for WCMC and PeerJ Computer Science, a guest editor for IJDSN and WCMC, and a reviewer for IEEE TITS, IEEE TCSS, IEEE IoTJ, etc. He also serves as a program committee member of SIGKDD, ACL, etc. He is a member of the IEEE SMC Society and the Artificial Intelligence Technical Committee of the China Meteorological Service Association.

Shibiao Wan

Dr. Shibiao Wan is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Anatomy at University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). He is also the Assistant Director for Bioinformatics and Systems Biology Core at UNMC.

With more than 13 years of experience in machine learning, bioinformatics, and computational biology, Dr. Wan has published >40 articles in top-tiered journals such as Genome Research, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Circulation Research, Briefings in Bioinformatics, and Bioinformatics. Dr. Wan is the Editor-in-Chief for Current Proteomics, and an Editorial Board Member for a series of prestigious journals such as Briefings in Functional Genomics, BMC Bioinformatics, PeerJ Computer Science, BioMed Research International, and Computational and Mathematical Methods, and a guest associate editor for multiple high-impact journals including Frontiers in Immunology, Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Biology, Frontiers in Genetics, and Genes.

Dr Wan is a TPC member for >20 machine learning related international conferences including IEEE ICTAI. Dr. Wan is also a reviewer for >50 prestigious journals including Nature Computational Science, Nucleic Acids Research, Cancer Research, Genome Medicine, and Briefings in Bioinformatics. He is a recipient of the global peer review awards (top 1%) in “Cross-Field” and “Biology and Biochemistry” in 2019 awarded by Clarivate. Dr. Wan is also an Outstanding Young Alumni Awardee in 2021-2022. Dr. Wan is an IEEE Senior Member and a member of AACR, ISCB and ACM.
