Leonardo L Gollo

Leonardo is a Senior Research Fellow with training in Neuroscience and Physics. He works on Neuroscience, Computational Biology, Connectomics, and Complex Systems. His research focuses on computational and mathematical models of brain function.

Shawn M Gomez

Professor, Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNC-CH and NCSU and Department of Pharmacology at UNC-CH. Previous Florence Gould Scholar and Pasteur Foundation Fellow. Current research interests in systems and synthetic biology, bioimage informatics, and network science applied to biology. Broader interests in translational medicine and the fostering of innovative solutions to problems in healthcare.

Harry Hochheiser

My research has covered a range of topics, including human-computer interaction, information visualization, bioinformatics, universal usability, security, privacy, and public policy implications of computing systems. I am currently working on a variety of NIH-funded projects, including areas such as bioinformatics research portals, visualization for review of chart records, and tools for aiding the discovery of animal models of human diseases.

Adriana Iamnitchi

Adriana Iamnitchi is Professor, Chair of Computational Social Sciences at Maastricht University. Her research spans different aspects of data and computer science, with a particular focus on social media forensics, network science, and distributed systems. Until 2021 she has been a professor of computer science in the United States, where her work was funded by the National Science Foundation, Office for Naval Research, and DARPA. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Chicago and is an ACM Distinguished Member, IEEE Senior Member, and recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER award.

Biju Issac

Dr Biju Issac is a Computer Science academic staff working at Northumbria University, UK. He has done PhD in Networking and Mobile Communications, MCA (Master of Computer Applications) and BE (Electronics and Communications Engineering). He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Senior IEEE member and Fellow of HEA. His research interests are in Wireless Networks, Cybersecurity, AI/Machine Learning applications (security, image processing, text mining etc) and Bio-inspired metaheuristic algorithms. Xiangjie Kong

Dr. Xiangjie Kong is currently a Full Professor in the College of Computer Science & Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT), China. Previously, he was an Associate Professor in School of Software, Dalian University of Technology (DUT), China, where he was the Head of the Department of Cyber Engineering. He is the Founding Director of City Science of Social Computing Lab (The CSSC Lab) (http://cssclab.cn/). He is/was on the Editorial Boards of 6 International journals. He has served as the General Co-Chair, Workshop Chair, Publicity Chair or Program Committee Member of over 30 conferences. Dr. Kong has authored/co-authored over 140 scientific papers in international journals and conferences including IEEE TKDE, ACM TKDD, IEEE TNSE, IEEE TII, IEEE TITS, IEEE NETW, IEEE COMMUN MAG, IEEE TVT, IEEE IOJ, IEEE TSMC, IEEE TETC, IEEE TASE, IEEE TCSS, WWWJ, etc.. 5 of his papers is selected as ESI- Hot Paper (Top 1‰), and 16 papers are ESI-Highly Cited Papers (Top 1%). His research has been reported by Nature Index and other medias. He has been invited as Reviewer for numerous prestigious journals including IEEE TKDE, IEEE TMC, IEEE TNNLS, IEEE TNSE, IEEE TII, IEEE IOTJ, IEEE COMMUN MAG, IEEE NETW, IEEE TITS, TCJ, JASIST, etc.. Dr. Kong has authored/co-authored three books (in Chinese). He has contributed to the development of 14 copyrighted software systems and 20 filed patents. He has an h-index of 36 and i10-index of 87, and a total of more than 4200 citations to his work according to Google Scholar. He is named in the2019 and 2020 world’s top 2% of Scientists List published by Stanford University. Dr. Kong received IEEE Vehicular Technology Society 2020 Best Land Transportation Paper Award, and The Natural Science Fund of Zhejiang Province for Distinguished Young Scholars. He has been invited as Keynote Speaker at 2 international conferences, and delivered a number of Invited Talks at international conferences and many universities worldwide. His research interests include big data, network science, and computational social science. He is a Distinguished Member of CCF, a Senior Member of IEEE, a Full Member of Sigma Xi, and a Member of ACM.

Natalia Kryvinska

Prof. Natalia Kryvinska is a Full Professor and a Head of the Information Systems Department, at the Faculty of Management, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. Previously, she served as a University Lecturer and a Senior Researcher at the eBusiness Department, University of Vienna's School of Business Economics and Statistics.

She received her Ph.D. in Electrical & IT Engineering from the Vienna University of Technology in Austria, and a Docent title (Habilitation) in Management Information Systems, from the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. She obtained her Professor title and was appointed for the professorship by the President of the Slovak Republic.

Her research interests include Complex Service Systems Engineering, Service Analytics, and Applied Mathematics.

Renaud Lambiotte

Renaud Lambiotte is professor in the department of Mathematics of the University of Namur. He is interested in different aspects of complex systems, with a particular focus on complex networks. His recent research includes the development of algorithms to uncover information in large-scale networks, the study of empirical data in social and neuronal systems, and the mathematical modelling of human mobility and diffusion on networks.

Kristina Lerman

Kristina Lerman is a Project Leader at the Information Sciences Institute and holds a joint appointment as a Research Associate Professor in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering's Computer Science Department. Her research focuses on applying network-based and machine learning methods to problems in social data analysis and social computing.

Xiaolong Li

Dr. Xiaolong Li is Professor and Chair of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology at the Indiana State University. He received his PhD from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cincinnati in 2006. He obtained his Bachelor degree and Master degree from Department of Electronic and Information Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. Dr. Li began his teaching and research with the Morehead State University in 2006 where he taught various courses in electronics and wireless communications. In 2008, Dr. Li joined the Indiana State University where he taught courses in Electronics and Computer Engineering, such as C programming, digital electronics, computer networking, networking security, etc. Dr. Li’s primary areas of research including modeling and performance analysis of Data mining, Internet of Things, Wireless Ad Hoc networks and sensor networks. He has published more than forty journal and proceedings articles in the above fields. He has served as topical editor and special issue editor for multiple journals. He also served as general chair and technical program committee chairs for multiple international conferences.

Yuqing Mao

Dr. Mao is currently a research scientist in Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications, U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH). Prior to joining the NLM, he was a Professor at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in China. Dr. Mao has received a Ph.D. degree from the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2012), and B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science from Nanjing University in China in 1997 and 2000, respectively.

Radu Marculescu

In 2020, Prof. Radu Marculescu moved to The University of Texas at Austin.

Radu Marculescu is a Professor in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, USA. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1998.

Radu's current research focuses on developing methods and tools for modeling and optimization of embedded systems, cyber-physical systems, social networks, and biological systems. Radu Marculescu is a Fellow of IEEE cited for his contributions to the design and optimization of on-chip communication for embedded multicore systems.
