Research interests: Big data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Topic Modelling, and Geo Spatial information systems. Member of IEEE, ACM, and ASEE. Published more than 50 referred journal and conference papers and 4 book chapters.

Bilal Alatas

Prof. Alatas received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Firat University. He works as a Professor of Software Engineering at Firat University and he is the head of same department. He is the founder head of the Computer Engineering Department of Munzur University and Software Engineering Department of Firat University. His research interests include artificial intelligence, data mining, social network analysis, metaheuristic optimization, and machine learning. Dr. Alatas has published over 250 papers in many well-known international journals and proceedings of the refereed conference since 2001. He has been editor of twelve journals five of which are indexed in SCI and reviewer of seventy SCI-indexed journals.

Hazrat Ali

Hazrat Ali is a researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Healthcare. He served as an Assistant Professor at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus, Abbottabad. His research interests lie in unsupervised learning, generative and discriminative approaches, medical imaging and speech and image processing. He has published more than 50 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is an Associate Editor at IEEE and served as a reviewer at many journals and conferences including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IET Signal Processing, Springer Neural Processing Letters, ACM Transactions on Asian and Low Resource Language Information Processing, Elsevier Computers and Electrical Engineering, ACL 2020, MICCAI 2020. He was selected as young researcher at the 5th Heidelberg Laureate Forum, Heidelberg, Germany. He was selected as a fellow of the DAAD AI-Networking Fellowship Tour 2021.

Xianye Ben

Xianye Ben received a Ph.D. degree in pattern recognition and intelligent system from the College of Automation, Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, in 2010. She is currently working as a full Professor in the School of Information Science and Engineering, Shandong University, Qingdao, China. She has published more than 100 papers in major journals and conferences, such as IEEE T-PAMI, IEEE T-IP, IEEE T-CSVT, IEEE T-MM, PR, CVPR, etc. Her current research interests include pattern recognition and image processing. She received the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation award from Harbin Engineering University. She was also enrolled by the Young Scholars Program of Shandong University.

Angelo Ciaramella

Angelo Ciaramella received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in Computer Science and he is Associate Professor at the University of Naples “Parthenope”. The main research interests of Angelo Ciaramella are Soft Computing, Machine Learning and Data Mining. In particular he is interested in statistical and Machine Learning approaches for Blind Source Separation, Sparse Coding, Compressive Sensing and Dictionary Learning, for signal processing (i.e., audio, streaming, astrophysical and geological) and feature extraction. Moreover, he has been working on fuzzy and neuro-fuzzy systems for structured and unstructured data. Recently, he is interested for developing Fuzzy Decision Support Systems in risk assessment. He also studied and developed new methodologies for pre-processing, clustering, visualization and assessment of biological, air quality and social network data (e.g., twitter). Recently, he is also interested in signal processing by Deep Learning methodologies in Brain Computer Interfaces. He is associate editor of international journals (i.e., Information Sciences, Soft Computing, International Journal on Artificial Intelligence Tools). He has been co-general Chair (IDCS2019), technical chair (CIBB2018) and organizer chair of Special Sessions. He is in the Program Committee of international conferences. He is a Fellow Member of IEEE and member IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, IEEE Signal Processing, SIREN, GIRPR, AIxIA.

Antonio Jesus Diaz-Honrubia

Antonio J. Díaz-Honrubia is an Associate Professor at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, to which he joined after holding an Assistant Professorship at Universidad de Oviedo and a part time Professorship at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (a job that he combined with a position in the R&D department of a private company in the telecommunications field).

He received his Ph.D. in 2016 from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, where he had also received his B.Sc. (Spanish National Extraordinary Award) and M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering.

His research interests include video transcoding, perceptual video coding, multimedia standards, scalable video coding, and simultaneous video coding. More recently, he is moving forward to the topic of data analysis and validation.

He has been a visiting researcher at Ghent University (Belgium) for 4 months, the Florida Atlantic University (USA) for 3 months, and the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) (Germany) for 6 months.

He has more than 30 publications in these areas in international refereed journals and conference proceedings.

Trang Do

Dr. Trang Do earned her PhD degree from the National University of Singapore in 2013. She is a proactive and motivated educator and data scientist, showcasing a track record of effectively managing expansive and intricate projects alongside engagements with stakeholders and government agencies. Her expertise spans data and computer science, coupled with a foundation in economics and bioinformatics, driving an ongoing pursuit of professional development. Her research interests encompass a wide scope within data science, intelligent systems, and interdisciplinary computing. Presently, her primary focus centers on machine learning, deep learning, explainable AI, data analysis, and visualization, particularly within the realms of health informatics, drug discovery, bioinformatics, tourism, and intelligent systems.

Magda Elzarki

Magda El Zarki received the B.E.E. from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt in 1979 and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, New York City, NY. Magda El Zarki currently holds the position of Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine, where she is involved in various research activities related to telecommunication networks and networked computer games. She is the Director of the Institute for Virtual Environments.

Andrea Esuli

Andrea Esuli is a senior researcher of the Italian National Research Council. His research interests are in the fields of multimedia information retrieval, machine learning, and text classification. He holds a PhD in Information Engineering from the University of Pisa. He is the recipient of the 2010 Cor Baayen Award, from the European Research Council for Informatics and Mathematics.

Wendy Hall

Wendy Hall, DBE, FRS, FREng, is Professor of Computer Science in Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, and is a Director of the Web Science Institute. She was Head of the School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) from 2002 to 2007, and was Dean of the Faculty of Physical Sciences and Engineering from 2010 to 2014.
One of the first computer scientists to undertake serious research in multimedia and hypermedia, she has been at its forefront ever since. The influence of her work has been significant in many areas including digital libraries, the development of the Semantic Web, and the emerging research discipline of Web Science.
She is Managing Director of the Web Science Trust.
She became a Dame Commander of the British Empire in the 2009 UK New Year's Honours list, and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in June 2009.
She was elected President of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in July 2008, and was the first person from outside North America to hold this position.
Until July 2008, she was Senior Vice President of the Royal Academy of Engineering, was a member of the UK Prime Minister's Council for Science and Technology, and was a founder member of the Scientific Council of the European Research Council. She was President of the British Computer Society from 2003 to 2004 and an EPSRC Senior Research Fellow from 1996 to 2002.

Xiaolong Li

Dr. Xiaolong Li is Professor and Chair of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology at the Indiana State University. He received his PhD from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cincinnati in 2006. He obtained his Bachelor degree and Master degree from Department of Electronic and Information Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. Dr. Li began his teaching and research with the Morehead State University in 2006 where he taught various courses in electronics and wireless communications. In 2008, Dr. Li joined the Indiana State University where he taught courses in Electronics and Computer Engineering, such as C programming, digital electronics, computer networking, networking security, etc. Dr. Li’s primary areas of research including modeling and performance analysis of Data mining, Internet of Things, Wireless Ad Hoc networks and sensor networks. He has published more than forty journal and proceedings articles in the above fields. He has served as topical editor and special issue editor for multiple journals. He also served as general chair and technical program committee chairs for multiple international conferences.

Ying Li

Dr. Ying Li received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, in 2003. Since then, she has been with IBM T. J. Watson Research Center as a Research Staff Member. Dr. Li’s research interests include digital image processing, multimedia content analysis and management, pattern recognition, computer vision, business analytics and service management, and computational creativity.
