Haider Abbas

Haider Abbas is the Director of National Cyber Security Auditing and Evaluation Lab (NCSAEL) and the Head of R&D at MCS- NUST, Pakistan. He is a Cyber Security professional, academician, researcher and industry consultant who took professional trainings and certifications from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), United States, Stockholm University, Sweden, Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship, Sweden, IBM, USA and EC-Council. He received his MS and PhD in Information Security (2010) from KTH- Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.

In recognition of Dr. Abbas services to the international research community and excellence in professional standing, he has been awarded one of the youngest Fellows of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) UK; a Fellow of The British Computer Society (BCS), UK and a Fellow of The Institute of Science and Technology, UK. He has been appointed as 1st ACM distinguished speaker from Pakistan by ACM - Association for Computing Machinery, United States. He has also been elected to the grade of Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA. He has been appointed as a Member of the Board of Governors for National Information Technology Board (NITB), headed by the President of Pakistan.

Irfan Ahmad

Dr. Irfan Ahmad is an Assistant Professor in Information and Computer Science department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He received his PhD in Computer Science from TU Dortmund, Germany in 2017.
Dr. Ahmad's research interests are in the areas of pattern recognition especially in document-image analysis, handwriting recognition, and machine-printed text recognition. In addition, he is also interested in machine learning and its applications including deep learning and natural language processing (NLP).

Iftikhar Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed is a Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Germany. His research interests lie in Responsible AI, Explainable AI, and Social Network Analysis. Dr. Ahmed holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Saarland University, Germany, and a Master's degree in the same field from Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg, Germany.

Noura Al Moubayed

Dr Al Moubayed is an Associate Professor at the department of computer science at Durham University.

Her main research interest is in Explainable Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Optimisation.

Dr Al Moubayed received her PhD from Robert Gordon University, followed by post-doctoral positions at the University of Glasgow and Durham University.

Her research projects focus on applying machine learning and deep learning solutions in the areas of healthcare, social signal processing, cyber-security, and Brain-Computer Interfaces. All of which involve high dimensional, noisy and imbalance data challenges.

Héctor Alaiz Moretón

Héctor Alaiz-Moretón received his degree in Computer Science, performing the final Project at Dublin Institute of Technology, in 2003. He received his PhD in Information Technologies in 2008 (University of Leon). He has worked as a lecturer since 2005 at the School of Engineering at the University of Leon.

His research interests include knowledge engineering, machine and deep learning, networks communication, and security.

He has several works published in international conferences, as well as books, more than 90 scientific publications between JCR papers, Lecture Notes and Scientific Workshops. He has been a member of scientific committees in conferences. He has headed several PhD Thesis and research competitive projects. He is also the vice main of RIASC (Institute of Applied Sciences to Cybersecurity).

Bilal Alatas

Prof. Alatas received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Firat University. He works as a Professor of Software Engineering at Firat University and he is the head of same department. He is the founder head of the Computer Engineering Department of Munzur University and Software Engineering Department of Firat University. His research interests include artificial intelligence, data mining, social network analysis, metaheuristic optimization, and machine learning. Dr. Alatas has published over 250 papers in many well-known international journals and proceedings of the refereed conference since 2001. He has been editor of twelve journals five of which are indexed in SCI and reviewer of seventy SCI-indexed journals.

Muhammad Aleem

Muhammad Aleem received his Ph.D. degree with distinction in computer science from Leopold-Franzens University, Innsbruck, Austria in 2012. His research interests include parallel and distributed computing comprise programming environments, multi-/many-core computing, performance analysis, cloud computing, and big-data processing. He has published more than 50 research papers in the reputed Journals and International conferences and authored 3 book chapters and 2 books. He is a co-director of the Parallel Computing and Networks (PCN) research group. He is currently working as Professor at National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Hazrat Ali

Hazrat Ali is a researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Healthcare. He served as an Assistant Professor at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus, Abbottabad. His research interests lie in unsupervised learning, generative and discriminative approaches, medical imaging and speech and image processing. He has published more than 50 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is an Associate Editor at IEEE and served as a reviewer at many journals and conferences including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IET Signal Processing, Springer Neural Processing Letters, ACM Transactions on Asian and Low Resource Language Information Processing, Elsevier Computers and Electrical Engineering, ACL 2020, MICCAI 2020. He was selected as young researcher at the 5th Heidelberg Laureate Forum, Heidelberg, Germany. He was selected as a fellow of the DAAD AI-Networking Fellowship Tour 2021.

Diego R Amancio

Diego Raphael Amancio is an Associate Professor at University of São Paulo (Brazil). His research interest includes complex networks, machine learning, data mining, science of science, scientometrics, natural language processing and complex systems.

Jurgita Antucheviciene

Prof Jurgita Antucheviciene, PhD, Professor at the Department of Construction Management and Real Estate at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania. She received her PhD in Civil Engineering in 2005. Her research interests include multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) theory and applications, civil engineering, sustainable development.

Prof. Antucheviciene has over 150 publications in Clarivate Analytic (Web of Science, h=39). She is a member of IEEE SMC, Systems Science and Engineering Technical Committee: Grey Systems and of two EURO Working Groups: Multicriteria Decision Aiding (EWG - MCDA) and Operations Research in Sustainable Development and Civil Engineering (EWG - ORSDCE).

She is also Deputy Editor in Chief of "Journal of Civil Engineering and Management", Associate Editor of "Applied Soft Computing", Editorial Board Member of "Sustainability" and "Buildings", and Guest Editor of several special issues in "Mathematical Problems in Engineering", "Complexity", "Symmetry", "Sustainability", "Information", "Algorithms", "Applied Soft Computing".

Syed M. Anwar

Ignacio Arganda-Carreras

Ignacio Arganda-Carreras (Madrid, 1980) is a European PhD in Computer Engineering and Telecommunications by the Autonomous University of Madrid and holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from the same university. He took postdoctoral studies at the department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2013 and at the Jean-Pierre Bourgin Institute of the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique, Versailles, from 2013 to 2015.

During his doctorate studies he carried out research stays at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley (California, 2002-2004), at the Centre for Machine Perception of the Technical University of Prague (2005) and at the Applied Medical Research Centre of the University of Navarra in Pamplona (2006). He has worked as a consultant for the Max Planck Institute of Cellular Biology and Genetics in Dresden (2009) and for the Institute of Neuroinformatics in Zurich (2009).

Since September 2015 he is an Ikerbasque Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence of the University of the Basque Country.
