William R Heath


Summary

William Heath was awarded his PhD in 1988. He currently runs a laboratory in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Melbourne. From 1990 to 2008, he was a member of the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. In 2008, was made a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science. His research focuses on immunity to pathogens like HSV-1 and Plasmodium berghei and on mechanisms that limit self-reactivity. His primary focus is on dendritic cell interactions with CD8+ T cells.
