Summary
I use applied mathematics, engineering and biological experimentation to study human and animal physiology. My primary field of research is biological transport phenomena - the study of fluid dynamics, heat transfer and mass transfer in living systems. Topics of interest include water and ion transport in lung epithelia, cerebral blood flow and metabolism, computational modelling of the cardiovascular system, and anatomically-based models of flow and mixing in the rumen.
