Summary

Carolina did her Undergrad and Master at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. During this period, she investigated evolutionary dynamics of B chromosomes front the karyotypic characteristics of an endemic grasshopper from Northeastern Brazil.

During her Phd, in Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Carolina decided to follow her dream: she focused on highlight the phylogeny and phylogeography of a neotropical freshwater fishes group. Currently, she is developmenting her Postdoc project in the same university. Her aim is to know, through computater simulation, which processes (ecological and/or historical) were responsable for current ichthyfauna distribution pattern in South America.
