Research Assistant

Plant pathology
My current research focus is the study of risk of fungicide resistance emergence in Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, a fungal pathogen that causes disease outbreaks on soybean. Specifically, my research aims to determine fungicide sensitivity of populations of S. sclerotiorum from soybean; evaluate the effect of different fungicide applications on sensitivity of field populations of S. sclerotiorum; and characterize the population structure and genetic diversity of S. sclerotiorum populations from soybean throughout the North Central United States and Mexico.
