Maria Alessandra De Marco
M. A. De Marco is graduated cum laude in Veterinary Medicine, PhD in “Bird, Rabbit and Wildlife Pathology", specialised cum laude in “Poultry Technology and Avian Pathology”. She has 20 year-experience in research activities aimed to study both the impact of pathogens on wildlife conservation/management and the role played by wild fauna in the ecology of emerging pathogens. She acquired particular expertise in serosurveys finalized to detect the interspecies transmission of influenza A viruses.
