Dr. Abdulazeez has been a Professor of Computer Engineering and Science since 2013 and served as the President of Duhok Polytechnic University from 2013 to 2021. Before, he held several key leadership roles, including Dean of Duhok Technical Institute and head of multiple scientific departments and committees across public and private universities in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Throughout his career, Dr. Abdulazeez has demonstrated an exceptional ability to integrate academic and administrative responsibilities. He has supervised numerous M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, contributing significantly to the development of future researchers and professionals. His dedication to research is reflected in his extensive publication record, with numerous papers published in prestigious international journals.

Dr. Abdulazeez’s research interests span a range of cutting-edge fields, including intelligent systems, soft computing, multimedia, network security, coding, and FPGA implementation. He has established and led various research groups and serves as a reviewer for many top-tier accredited international journals.
